Spicy pineapple sauce

This spicy pineapple sauce is easy to make and can be used on and for anything. We made a delicious pork cheek sandwich with it. But you can also use it to glaze a ham or as a marinade.

Of course, we used fresh pineapple. This recipe is not really going to work with canned pineapple. The sauce is getting too thin. Fresh pineapple is also tastier, in our opinion.

You can quickly drill out pineapple with a pineapple drill. For the sauce, you need about half of the pineapple. You can use the other half for a tasty fruit salad.

Cut the slices of pineapple into smaller pieces and then put them in a blender to make a puree with the rest of the ingredients. It’s that simple.

If you have kept your work area clean, you can keep the sauce in the fridge for about 10 days. In general, it is long gone before that.

Ingredients

  • 300 grams of fresh pineapple
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 50 grams of brown sugar
  • 1 jalapeno pepper
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Put everything in a blender and mash it. If the sauce is too thick, you can use cornstarch to thicken it a bit.
