Remoulade sauce recipe

In the Netherlands, remoulade sauce is often served with fried fish. Another sauce that looks like remoulade is a ravigotte sauce. Remoulade sauce is made with mayonnaise and is slightly less sour. And maybe remoulade is just a little bit tastier. But you have to try that yourself.

Almost every remoulade sauce contains capers, tarragon and pickles. After that, there are countless different versions. We like to make this sauce a little spicier with a little Tabasco. Don’t think our remoulade is a hot sauce. You can taste Tabasco somewhere in the distance, and that makes this easy sauce to make just a little more exciting.

The tarragon and capers make this sauce wonderfully fresh. That is why it goes well with highly seasoned recipes such as fried chicken or fish.

This remoulade goes well with a nice piece of grilled fish or chicken. But you can just as easily throw a big spoon next to a few roasted potatoes.
