We are lovers of hot sauces. You too? Then this simple Jalapeño sauce is a great option to try. The jalapeño pepper is mild, but not all jalapeños are equally hot. The sauce can be made as spicy or mild as you like. For a milder sauce, remove the seeds and stems. For a hotter version, just leave everything in.
The recipe is deadly simple. Remove the seeds and membranes from the jalapeño peppers, then blend everything until the consistency is to your liking. Then you can season it with a little salt or some extra lime juice.
By the way, if you are not crazy about cilantro, which we can’t imagine, you can also use flat-leaf parsley. This sauce can also be made with other peppers instead of jalapeños. You can also take serrano, cayenne, or, if you’re a real pepper head, habanero peppers.
If you find the sauce too sharp, heat it in a frying pan for 2 minutes while stirring. The result is a milder sauce.
This jalapeño sauce is great with Mexican dishes like tacos and quesadillas. You could also throw a big scoop of this in chilli or on your pizza. What are you going to do with this sauce?
