We love chimichurri. Indispensable with a nicely grilled steak. We tried to recreate the rich taste of the liquid chimichurri as dry rub. We didn’t quite succeed, but it has become an excellent dry rub that we definitely want to share.
This chimichurri dry rub is an excellent start to transfer the idea of authentic chimichurri into a dry spice mix. But certainly no replacement.
- 3 tbsp dried oregano
- 3 tbsp dried basil
- 2 tbsp dried coriander
- 2 tbsp dried thyme
- 2 tbsp pimenton (smoked paprika)
- 1 tbsp coarse salt
- 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tsp granulated garlic powder
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- Mix all ingredients and thats it.
